Over the course of 8 days, I was at the birth of a close friend’s daughter, found out that my friend and I were able to move into the flat we wanted, welcomed in the Jewish New Year and attended the funeral of a student from one of my regular creative writing workshops. It is now the countdown to moving into a new flat – which will be a year since I moved to the last flat and blogged about that! I wasn’t expecting to move – I wasn’t expecting a lot of recent events in my life but when I reflect on it all – I find it fascinating how our lives, our stories – take their own twists & turns. Sometimes it is all condensed isn’t it? I have been able to share poignant moments with others, moments and days that will never be forgotten. Words spoken, written, read & shared – laughter and tears. When these moments happen, however difficult they may be – it’s good to try and see them as a gift. Especially as writers. We are gaining an insight into ourselves and others, we are a part of something. Digest. Discover. Write…
COMING UP AT CREATIVE WRITES:
Monday 5th October marks the beginning of our new programme of Creative Writes workshops, with the Themed Creating Character workshop, 7.30-9.30pm. (Themed Workshops will continue on the first Monday of the month). This is followed by the start of our block of five Wednesday workshops on 7th October, 7.30-9.30pm.
