Where do you call home?
Last week, during the Creative Writes Workshop at the Leluu Supper Club venue – we did some non literal thinking! The writers really enjoyed being asked to think differently.
The first exercise was to write a list of words and phrases that you associate with Summer and then I asked the writers to write for ten minutes without including any of these! Give this a try! It is always interesting – try it for all four seasons…
The next exercise was to write about a place you consider Home but there was one condition – not to write about an actual place that you have ever lived in! Try this too! This often triggers poetic prose/poetry or memoir.
